Hydroponics Farm Operators
We are currently seeking experienced Farm Operators to join our hydroponics farm team. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with various hydroponic systems including NFT (Nutrient Film Technique), Dutch Bucket, and Grow Bags, coupled with a strong background in cultivating a range of crops such as leafy greens, vine crops like bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, and other similar produce. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our farm operations while working with cutting-edge agricultural technologies.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain hydroponic systems including NFT, Dutch Bucket, and Grow Bags to ensure optimal growing conditions for crops.
- Monitor nutrient levels, pH balance, temperature, and humidity levels, and make necessary adjustments as needed.
- Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to control pests and diseases, ensuring crop health and productivity.
- Assist in planting, transplanting, pruning, and harvesting activities according to established schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of crops and systems to identify any issues or anomalies and take corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of crop production, input usage, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the farm management team to develop and implement efficient operational procedures and protocols.
Skills/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in agriculture or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience working in hydroponic farming, with proficiency in operating NFT, Dutch Bucket, and Grow Bags systems.
- Knowledge of crop management practices for leafy greens, vine crops, and other hydroponically grown produce.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to hydroponic systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed
