Job Title: Junior Agronomist - Hydroponics Farm

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Team of Junior Agronomists to join our hydroponics farm team. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in various hydroponic systems including NFT (Nutrient Film Technique), Dutch Bucket, and Grow bags etc, with a strong background in cultivating crops such as leafy greens, vine crops like bell peppers, cucumbers, melons, and other similar produce. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the sustainable growth of our farm while gaining valuable experience in cutting-edge agricultural practices.

Project Location(s): Dankaur - Greater Noida
Education: UG: B.Sc in Agriculture
Compensation: 15000 - 18000

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of hydroponic systems including NFT, Dutch Bucket, and Grow bags.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions such as nutrient levels, pH balance, temperature, and humidity.
  • Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to ensure crop health and minimize pest damage.
  • Conduct regular crop inspections and troubleshoot any issues related to plant health or system functionality.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of planting schedules, nutrient regimes, and harvesting activities.
  • Collaborate with senior agronomists and farm management to develop and implement innovative techniques for maximizing crop yields and quality.
  • Keep accurate records of crop performance, input usage, and production metrics.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in hydroponic farming practices and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience working with hydroponic systems, preferably in a commercial farming environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting NFT, Dutch Bucket, and Growbags hydroponic systems.
  • Knowledge of crop management practices for leafy greens, vine crops, and other hydroponically grown produce.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with diverse team members.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as needed
